Red Cross Millennium/Charlie Daniels Concert
These pictures were taken at the Red Cross Millennium concert held May 29, 2000 at Dick Brooks farm near Woodruff, SC. The concert was presented by Dick Brooks (former NASCAR driver and automobile dealer), Moonlite Cycles of Spartanburg, SC, Harley-Davidson of Spartanburg and others (it's been a week now and I don't remember all of them!)
$250,000 was raised for the Spartanburg chapter of the Red Cross that day and about four or five thousand people attended. There was a 2000 model Corvette and an HD-883 Sportser given away. The Charlie Daniels Band was the headline act with some good local Spartanburg music to be enjoyed too. There's always good music in Spartanburg.
I took over 120 pictures that day (too many to post) but I have picked out a few to post here. I've posted small pics , so just click on them to view a larger pic.
Now, how about a few pics....
This

Moonlite Cycles, Dick
Brooks, and "the Red Cross guy" (no, I don't know his
name.)
IThis is
one of favorite pics of Charlie, I first saw him in 1974 at
Western Carolina University in the mountains of NC. His band
opened for Spartanburg's Marshall Tucker Band, a night I'll
always remember.
